ABOUT ME

Hi! My name is Natasha Halliwell I have 4 children and a wonderful husband Tyler Halliwell. We have 10 kids in total Jason, Tamika, Abbie, Miikka, Keaira & and Jericho. + their neice(s) Ali, Isabella & Ocean.  We also have 2 dogs and 4 fish. Abby and Mika don't live with us they are my hubby's twins who live with their momma.

However, if we added all the kids we have cared for at some point in time we would have too many. My husband and I are considering adopting children when our own children move out. Or being foster parents and having a foster home. For now, I'm working on it.

I've been doing a lot of personal growth. I think that I have been learning a lot these past 4 years at university. I have been studying at the University of Regina to become an elementary school teacher. I was really nervous at first but with experience due to COVID and Zoom classes, I think it prepared me to work and teach in my future classroom or anywhere.

I was born in Saskatoon Saskatchewan and was raised in Thunderbay Ontario. I am the 3rd oldest out of 5 children on my mother's side, on my dad's side I am the eldest of 5 children, I have 2 more sisters and 2 more brothers one I haven't even met.

My sister on my mother's side of my family is a teacher and this was a reason I wanted to become one she is a patient person and is willing to help whatever it takes. Also, my uncle Leo Yahyahkeekoot is a teacher and I always looked up to him. He had the coolest classroom when I was in grade 8 at City Park in Saskatoon.

As I got older I finished high school in North Battleford and went to College but later changed.

Life hasn't always been easy for me in my past,  I hit rock bottom before or what I thought was the bottom. I gave up working and fell into a dark path. I was able to get the help I needed though and I met the love of my life and found a way to get up again.

I moved to Regina in 2019 when I got accepted into the University of Regina, in the Bachelor of Elementary Education Program. I am also adding my continuing education certificate in Inclusive Education I have 4 classes left and will be completing my school in 2024. I  will be graduated with my Bachelor of Education in elementary years and an Inclusive Education Certificate. WOOP! I'm doing it, letter after the experience I will go back for my maters.

I am a certified Youth Care Worker since 2012. I worked at Eagles Nest and Phoneix School in North Battleford and the Boy's & Girl's Club.

Like everyone I made choices in my life that led me onto a new path, I learned from all my mistakes in my life. I value life and can't wait to teach and learn with others.  I focus on teaching the truth. I can't wait to see what my future holds for me and my family.

I love nature and going camping and all the fun stuff in the dirt. I also like writing stories and telling stories and drawing, painting, dancing, and singing. I used to write rap songs, I have a box full of them in my basement. I can just imagine what I would find.

All my life I wanted to write a book, I have the first drawing book that I folded and stepped together that's the truth it's in my memory box for safekeeping.
